THE FINAL FEATURE PROJECT SCREENING IS TUESDAY 4/16/19. WE WILL SCREEN ALL THE FEATURE STORY PROJECTS IN CLASS.
FAILURE TO APPEAR IN CLASS FOR YOUR PRESENTATION WILL RESULT IN A 2 LETTER GRADE REDUCTION IN YOUR FINAL PROJECT GRADE!
YOU MUST BE PRESENT TO MAKE A WRITTEN AND ORAL PRESENTATION REGARDING THE PRODUCTION OF YOUR FEATURE VIDEO. THE PRESENTATION IS WORTH 20 POINTS (YES, TWO FULL LETTER GRADES!). THE QUESTIONS YOU MUST WRITE ABOUT AND PRESENT IN CLASS ARE LISTED AT THE BOTTOM OF THIS POST.
YOUR PROJECT MUST BE COMPLETED, UPLOADED TO YOUTUBE, AND POSTED TO YOUR MAJOR PROJECTS PAGE BY CLASS START.
YOUR PROJECT WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED IF IT IS SHORTER THAN 1:30 MINUTES OR LONGER THAN 3:00 MINUTES.
YOUR PROJECT WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED WITHOUT RELEASES FROM YOUR INTERVIEW SUBJECTS AND THOSE PERSONS FEATURED PROMINENTLY IN YOUR VIDEO (WHETHER OR NOT THEY SPOKE ON CAMERA). YOUR RELEASES SHOULD BE SCANNED (FREE PHONE CAMERA SCANNER APPS ARE AVAILABLE FOR ANDROID AND IPHONE ONLINE), UPLOADED TO YOUR WORDPRESS MEDIA LIBRARY, AND LINKS POSTED (USING THE “ADD MEDIA” BUTTON IN WORDPRESS) BELOW YOUR FEATURE VIDEO ON YOUR MAJOR PROJECTS PAGE OF YOUR WORDPRESS SITE.
YOUR FEATURE STORY WRITTEN AND ORAL PRESENTATION (10PTS OF YOUR FEATURE STORY GRADE):

Type the questions below and the answers in a Word Doc, post it to your WordPress Media Library and link it below your Feature Story video on your Major Projects page. Also, print it out and bring it with you to use for your oral presentation:
Post the following responses under your feature video on your major projects page, under your talent releases. YOU WILL READ THE WRITTEN ANSWERS TO THE FOLLOWING ALOUD IN CLASS BEFORE WE VIEW YOUR FEATURE STORY VIDEO:
- Who is the target audience for your piece? How does your video serve them?
- What is the story you are trying to tell in your piece and describe how your piece tells the story visually and through narrative?
- What is the most important thing you learned from doing the project and how will the knowledge you learned doing it help you in your future career?
- What was your biggest obstacle in doing the project and how do you overcome it?
